Mental Health Connecticut (MHC) partners with individuals, families, and communities to create environments that support long-term health and wellness. MHC serves as Our Trans Life’s fiscal sponsor, allowing it to function effectively as a nonprofit. Our Trans Life’s leadership has been featured in MHC’s blog.

Mental Health Connecticut envisions a future where well-being is rooted in respect for the condition of being human. Its direct service programs include supportive and residential housing, case management, in-home supports, and wellness programming. MHC also operates the only group home in Connecticut for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and living with a mental health condition. All direct care staff are trained in evidence-based practices including Housing First, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing, with person-centered care as a cornerstone.
